Biography
Judith Eva Barsi was born on June 6, 1978 in Los Angeles, California, U.S. She began her acting career at the age of 5 after being discovered at an ice skating rink by a talent agent. Her first role was in the 1984 miniseries "Fatal Vision". Her career was essentially in television, making appearances in commercials and television shows like Punky Brewster, Cagney & Lacey, The Tracey Ullman Show, The Love Boat and Growing Pains. Her first film was in 1986 with "Eye of the Tiger". She later had a role in "Jaws 4: the revenge". She was also the voice of Ducky in "The Land Before Time" and Anne-Marie in "All Dogs Go to Heaven". Her final work was for the part of Billie in the ABC Afterschool Special "A Family Again" which is dedicated to her. During her short lifetime she appeared in over 70 commercials, 17 series and mini-series, 4 television movies, and 5 cinema movies.
Judith was a happy, sweet and shy little girl. She was always described as very professional, mature for her age and "down to earth". Although her career succeeded, her life at home was terrifying due to an abusive, jealous and paranoid father. During the night of July 25th 1988, Judith was killed along with her mother when her father shot her in the head while she was sleeping. On July 27, 1988, her father committed suicide and later the three bodies were found. On August 9, Judith and her mother buried together at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Hollywood Hills, California. Judith was only 10 years old.
